Stories with meanings

-

AT present we are putting our trust in so many things and hoping that things will eventually get back to ‘normal’.

Here are six things that we do as we go through life and what they mean, six little stories with lots of meanings.

1. Once all the villagers decided to pray for rain. On the day of prayer, the people gathered but only one boy came with an umbrella. That is FAITH.

2. When someone throws a baby in the air it laughs because it knows it will be caught. That is TRUST.

3. Every night we go to bed without any assurance of being alive the next morning but we still set our alarms to wake us up. That is HOPE.

4. We plan big things for tomorrow in spite of zero knowledge of the future. That is CONFIDENCE. 5. We see the world suffering, but still people get married and have children. That is LOVE.

6. On an old man’s shirt was written a sentence: ‘I am not 80 years old; I am sweet 16 with 64 years of experience.’ That is ATTITUDE.

How many of those things do we relate to in our lives?

How often are we unsure of our FAITH, TRUST, HOPE, CONFIDENCE, LOVE and ATTITUDE? Who do we look to for guidance to see us through life?

In Jesus Christ we have the person who has gone through all those things, who has laid down teachings on them.

We just need to be aware of his teachings and his example in life to be our guide day by day.

Have a happy day and live your life like these stories.

Remember – good friends are like rare jewels of life, difficult to find and impossible to replace. Remember – our best friend is Jesus Christ.
