Friends raffle for Newbury Cancer Care

-

FRIENDS from Cold Ash are hosting another charity raffle this weekend.

Amy Collins and Scott Mosey are holding the raffle live on Facebook on Sunday to raise money for Newbury Cancer Care and the Rainbow Rooms, which support local cancer patients at the West Berkshire Community Hospital.

Miss Collins said: “We decided to raise funds for this amazing charity as cancer affects so many and I have received so many messages and emails from locals who have benefited in some way from their amazing care facilities.”

The friends have raised nearly £1,200 for the charity so far.

They have had 75 prize donations, with prizes ranging from

Tutts Clump cider and Two Cocks Brewery beverages, swimming lessons, a Fink Street Food voucher, jewellery, an Easter hamper, a £50 plush hairdressing voucher and signed memorabilia from Star Wars and Cobra Kai.

This is the third raffle the friends have held for good causes, following donations to NHS Charities Together and Childline last year.

Tickets can be bought via the JustGiving page – amys big online raffle – or on Facebook under The Big Online Raffle, as well as on Instragram. Tickets are £1 each and all money raised will go straight to the charity.
