Community fund’s grants for good causes

-

APPLICATIONS have opened for three grant funding ‘streams’ associated with the Berkshire Community Fund.

The streams currently open for applicants are The Vital for Berkshire Coronavirus Fund, Funds for the Elderly and Give a Child a Chance.

The Community Fund is a charitable hub connecting organisations across the region, providing financial support to good causes.

Each stream targets groups with distinct charitable focuses, and funds are allocated to support their activities.

Community Fund chief executive Jon Yates said: “As the country is looking forward to emerging from the Covid-19 crisis it feels apt to launch these streams to continue to address the pressing issues arising from the pandemic and to tackle long-standing community needs that affect people of all ages across our county.

“We know that the work undertaken by our marvellous charities and voluntary groups continues to be vital.

“These local charities and their amazing volunteers have been a bedrock of strength in the past year, but as we move forward their immense contributions to people, community and the economy will be needed as much as ever.

“We at BCF are as determined as ever to harness the power of local philanthropy to give them the support they need to continue to help our communities thrive.”

The application period closes on May 10 at 10am.
