Lynch bags hat-trick as Woolton Hill score six
Cottage Inn and Paggies Bar play out hard-fought 2-2 draw in Premier Division
CONOR Lynch scored a second-half hattrick on his debut for Woolton Hill Argyle as they beat OLA Prestige 6-1 in the Newbury Sunday League Premier Division.
Teams across the two divisions resumed last weekend as the Sunday League returned to action for the first time since December.
Woolton Hill made quick work of getting the three points as they moved up to fourth in the league after a comfortable win.
Steve Burrows and Theo Strong scored in quick succession for the home side, but OLA hit back with a goal of their own to reduce the deficit to just one at the break.
Argyle introduced Lynch from the bench and he proved to be a handful for the Prestige defence as he netted three times.
Ben Perrins scored Woolton Hill’s other goal in the second half as they recorded their second win of the campaign.
Cottage Inn remain six points clear at the top of the table as they drew 2-2 with secondplaced Paggies Bar at Henwick.
Terry Amor and Reg Gregory scored for Cottage, while Brad Pagliaroli hit a brace for Paggies.
Elsewhere in the division, AFC Hermitage beat The Mill House 4-2 to get their first win of the season, while Alex Fragata scored for Bucklebury as they beat Parklife Rovers 10.
In Division 1, Thatcham Tornadoes remain the only unbeaten team as they beat leaders Diamond 3-2 to move level on points at the top with a game in hand.
Berkshire Wanderers secured a 3-0 win over Black Horse, while Taste of England recorded a 3-1 away success against Cold
Ash.
In the other two games, Brimpton Rangers won 5-1 away at Newbury Bootleggers, while Furze Bush Inn beat NWX FC 20.
