ELEVEN-PIECE Northern

Soul band Stefan Taylor & The Signatures take to the stage at Retrofestival in Newbury on Saturday.

Stefan first sang with The Signatures in 2016 and the group have just released their debut studio album Run For Cover.

“Run For Cover is an album that The Signatures and I have had in the pipeline for a while,” says Stefan.

“Now that we have finally finished the project I couldn’t be prouder or more excited by the end product. “It’s 10 songs hand-picked as our favourites from our live set that we have perfected over the last few years alongside versions of songs we have performed with the original artists themselves, such as Nolan Porter. As out first studio album together, I cannot wait for our fans, old and new, many of whom have been clamouring for us to make an album for years. To hear the final product of our many hours of work and refinement, I’m genuinely buzzling for people to hear this record.”

“Our performances at Retrofestival have always been some of our favourites as a band, with a nonstop roaring Northern Soul set full of all the classic stompers in front of a crowd that very rarely stop dancing to even take a breath. With the legendary Tommy Hunt always stealing the show with his wit and charm, it is sure to be a memorable gig once again this year, the band can’t wait.”
