Dizzee Rascal’s coming to Party in the Paddock
Iconic British grime MC will be performing at Newbury Racecourse
rapper Dizzee Rascal is coming to Newbury this summer.
He’s headlining the Party in the Paddock after the racing on BetVictor Hungerford Day at Newbury Racecourse on Sunday, August 17.
One of the most influential artists associated with London’s grime scene and one of the most successful British rappers of all time, Dizzee is widely praised for his 2003 debut Boy in da Corner, released when the innovative MC and producer was only 18, and which won the UK’s prestigious Mercury Prize and remains the definitive grime full-length.
Since then, he’s catapulted to international stardom, working with artists such Calvin Harris, Arctic Monkeys and Shakira, scoring four UK number one hits from his fourth album, 2009’s Tongue N’ Cheek.
He released his eighth studio album Don’t Take It Personal earlier this year, which marked a return to his earlier grime sound.
Newbury Racecourse’s Party In The Paddock racedays are a staple of the summer calendar and boast an afternoon of top-quality racing followed by a concert with both included in one ticket.
Dizzee Rascal is Newbury’s second summer headliner with super-producer Sigala already confirmed to perform live after racing on Weatherbys Super Sprint Day on Saturday, July 20, with tickets on sale now.

“Both Dizzee Rascal and Sigala will be making their Newbury Racecourse debuts this summer and we’re set for two days of
great racing and two bumper evening shows.

Tickets for Dizzee Rascal at Newbury Racecourse go on general sale at 10am tomorrow (Friday).
Prices start from £34 for adults and £19 for under-18s and registering for priority guarantees access to the lowest-priced tickets.
