LLANDUDNO’S first-ever match in the Welsh Premier League will be shown live on S4C. The Seasiders begin life in the topflight with a home fixture against Aberystwyth Town on Saturday, August 22 (5.15pm).

S4C’s Sgorio programme will be at Maesdu Park to launch their new-look live TV coverage for 2015/16.

For Tudno boss Alan Morgan the curtain-raiser will bring a reunion with Aber, the club he managed between 2009-12.

The following Friday, August 28, Llandudno travel to Oswestry to take on champions The New Saints.

In preparation for their step-up to the WPL, Tudno have organised an impressive list of pre-season games.

They begin with a home tussle against Wrexham on Saturday, July 18 (2.30pm).

Flint Town United will visit Maesdu Park on Tuesday, July 21 (7.30pm), then on Saturday, July 25, Llandudno welcome old Huws Gray Alliance rivals Caernarfon Town (2.30pm).

A local derby is in store on Tuesday, July 28, when Tudno host neighbours Colwyn Bay of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division (7.45pm).

That game should see new Llan signing, striker Marc Williams, come up against his old club the Bay, who he represented last season.

Seasiders chief Morgan will be feeling nostalgic on Saturday, August 1, when his ex-club Tranmere Rovers, where he played from 1992-2002, come to Maesdu Park (2.30pm).

Rovers’ 94-year stay in the Football League came to an end last season when they were relegated to the National League (formerly known as the Conference Premier).

Tudno’s only away warm-up fixture is on Tuesday, August 4, when they make the journey to Denbigh Town of the Huws Gray Alliance (7.30pm).

On Saturday, August 8, midlands club Rushall Olympic of the Northern Premier League Premier Division will land at Maesdu Park (2.30pm).

The WPL new boys round off their pre-season schedule by hosting a Chester League Select XI on Saturday, August 15 (12.30pm).

Llandudno were recently named the Huws Gray Alliance Club of the Season for the third time in 10 years.

Chairman Clive Rushton said: “It really caps a tremendous year for the club.”

The Seasiders are also celebrating a new home and away kit deal.

Rubber Roofing Contractors and WR Davies Renault have put pen to paper on a two-year agreement.

Commercial director and the driving force behind these deals, Mike Smith, said “These deals represent a substantial investment and they also show how much local businesses believe in the ethos of the club.”

Rubber Roofing will sponsor the home kit and WR Davies the away strip.
