Developer cooks up cash at community fundraiser BBQ

-

ONE of the area’s longest-established house builders staged a charity fundraiser to mark a triple celebration.

Conwy-based Beech Developments (NW) Ltd held a barbecue in aid of Tŷ Gobaith children’s hospice, its adopted charity, to mark the completion of their development at Llandudno Junction and the start of a nearby site where the company has already began the construction.

The barbecue also provided the opportunity to celebrate the decision by Beech Developments to relocate to larger, purpose-built offices.

The move, prompted by the company’s on-going growth, will see Beech Developments build muchneeded office space this summer and is expected to secure new jobs.

Managing director Matthew Gilmartin, planning director Mike Roberts and technical director John Gardener were joined at the event by local builders and tradesmen who had been part of the 30-month Gwel y Castell project.

They raised nearly £300 on the day.

“We pride ourselves on being a local business working with local trades to create new communities across North Wales,” said Matthew Gilmartin.

“Tŷ Gobaith is a cause very close to the hearts of the Beech Developments team and we’re delighted to use our celebrations to support the hospice’s vital work.”
