Hospice summer raffle raises over £28,000

The first prize winner of this year’s Hospice Summer Raffle was a supporter from Deganwy who was delighted with her win of £3,000. Second prize winner of £1,000 lives in Sutton Coldfield, and third prize of £500 to a lucky winner in Benllech. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets for this St David’s Hospice fundraiser, over £28,000 has been raised. The summer raffle is part of the Hospice Lottery activities which currently raises over £350K towards the care of terminally ill. Colwyn Bay Hospice Shop on Penrhyn Road is currently looking for volunteer shop assistants to help on the following days; Mondays mornings and afternoon slots, Wednesdays afternoons and Fridays mornings. No experience is needed, training will be provided. Call 01492 533166.

Our popular annual Duck Race is back again for another year at the Conwy River festival on Saturday 22nd August. You can purchase your duck number for just £1 and come along on the day to see how fast it swims. Hundreds of duck will be released into the River Conwy about 4pm and the winning duck will win £100! Ducks numbers are available from various locations in the town of Conwy, from the Hospice fundraising office (01492 873674) or at the Duck Race stall on Conwy Quay on the day.

Join in the new craze and have a blast at Llandudno’s most colourful run of 2015 on Sunday 6th September. You can walk, jog, run or skip your way along the 5km course and be blasted with clouds of colour. Fun for all the family! £20 per adult, £15 per child (or £60 per family of four).
