Aree your woofs and wellies at the ready for the St David’s Hospice sponsored dog walk? This Sunday you and your furry friends can show your support for your local adult hospice and join in the three mile leisurely walk along West Shore beach in Llandudno. The walk starts at 1pm from the Hospice on Abbey Rd, Llandudno. Café Dewi (the Hospice café) will be open between the hours of 1pm-4pm providing well-earned light snacks and refreshmen­ts. Entry is £5 for dogs (plus sponsorshi­p). Every dog will receive a colourful bow tie. For further informatio­n call St David’s Hospice 01492 873674.

Do you enjoy high street fashion at discount prices? - The Fashion Show and Sale Company are holding a charity event on behalf of St David’s Hospice on Thursday October 8. The show will present high street brands all available to purchase on the night at massively reduced prices. The show will beat the Royal British Legion, Conwy (starts 7.30pm) Tickets are for £5 available from the Hospice fundraisin­g dept. 01492 873664.

Tickets are now on sale for a colourful night of Bollywood being held at the Venue@The Clock House in Colwyn Bay. The event is to raise funds for St David’s Hospice on Thursday October 15 and will include a traditiona­l Indian cuisine buffet, music and glitzy Bollywood dancing by award-winning group Bollywood Burnout. A new date is now available for the Manchester Christmas Markets. With first coach now full, the Hospice has organised a second on Wednesday December 9. The city is transforme­d into a winter wonderland with wooden chalets bustling with food, drink, fashions and gifts from around the world. The coach will leave from the Hospice in Llandudno and will also visit Slattery of Manchester where you can indulge in some of the UK’s finest chocolate. Tickets are £20 per person. Ann Jones, who volunteers at the Hospice shop in Conwy, has kindly presented a donation of £1,000 in memory of her husband Roger Glyn who was cared for at St David’s Hospice. Friends and family donated £800 in lieu of flowers and AC Lambert & Son, Funeral Directors kindly donated £200. Roger worked for Lamberts for 20 years after retiring from North Wales Police where he worked in the Coroner’s Office. Many thanks to everyone for their support. On Thursday 29th October the Marine Hotel, Old Colwyn are organising a psychic supper night with Christine Molloy and Pat and Carl Hulse. Tickets which include supper cost £15 with all proceeds being donated to St David’s Hospice. The evening will start at 7pm and between 9pm – 10pm private readings are available (£5 per 10mins).
