Celebrate your Social Saturday

- BY JANET HAWORTH AM

IAM a great supporter of social enterprises and delighted to back the second national Social Saturday 2015 which is being held on October 10.

The aim is to raise awareness of just how easy it is to support social enterprises which are businesses that trade for a social or environmental purpose and invest their profits back into the enterprise.

The businesses put people and planet first and help to make a positive difference to the world we live in and as Shadow Environment Minster I fully support these sort of ventures.

In Conwy there are over 140 social enterprises across a variety of sectors including recycling, housing, nurseries, tourism and arts and culture.
