The recent £25,000 donation raised by a Golf Day at a Cheshire course was followed by a generous contributi­on of £2,000 from Llandudno’s County Hotel and a further £500 raised by a coffee morning organised by the ladies of Penrhyn Bay Townswomen­s’ Guild. The RNLI Shop team will operate a Lifeboat souvenir and Christmas card stall at the forthcomin­g Rotary conference at Venue Cymru.

LLANDUDNO AND COLWYN BAY HISTORY SOCIETY: The next meeting is on Tues Oct 13 at 7.15pm in the Town Hall. There will be a short AGM, followed by a talk by Barbara and John Lawson-Reay. The talk’ Postcards from the Past’ looks at Llandudno through the eyes of visitors, revealing what they thought of the town, through views on the fronts and messages on the backs of the postcards, during the first 50 years of the 20th century. RHOS FAMILY CHURCH: Meet this Sunday 10.30am for All Age Worship Service in a joint Service at the URC Church in Rhos to hear Ian Coffey. PARKWAY COFFEE CLUB: The Sat meeting was well attended with a quiz. One table won the quiz with 10 out of 20 questions right. The Barmouth Autumn Tints is full and people are advised to put their name down in case of cancellati­ons. The next trip will be on Nov 28 (Sat) to Capesthorn­e Hall, calling at a Garden centre for coffee.
