More adultery in Arnold than anywhere else in Nottinghamshire, according to ‘infidelity index’

PEOPLE in Arnold are having more affairs than anywhere else in Nottinghamshire, according to a new “index of infidelity”.

Figures from Illicit Encounters – an online dating site for married men and women – have revealed that 20,130 people in the county are registered as members.

That works out at more than six percent of the adult population of Nottingham.

According to the site, 1,483 are from Arnold, 1,323 from West Bridgford, 1,130 from Kirkby-in-ashfield, 925 from Beeston and 869 from Eastwood.

The data reveals that Nottinghamshire is one of the areas using the site the most nationally.

You can find the local “adultery figures” for your postcode using the Infidelity Index, which is based on data from one million postcodes.

Around 1.1 million people across the UK have registered with Illicit Encounters since it was launched 15 years ago.

The site claims that 20,000 people cheat on their partners using the site every week.

It also says it has seen registrations soar by 20 percent in the past five years, in part because many couples can’t afford a divorce because of economic pressures and rocketing house prices.

In Nottinghamshire, the figure has increased by six percent in the last year alone, rising from 18,923 registrations in 2017 to 20,130 members seen this year.

Spokesman Christian Grant said: “We provide an outlet for men and women who would have an affair whether we were there or not. In coming to us, they can be assured of meeting a like-minded partner seeking some added excitement in their life who doesn’t want to upset things at home.”
