Caring Alice at Number 10
A NOTTINGHAMSHIRE care assistant was invited to visit 10 Downing Street as part of celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the NHS.
Alice Potter, who joined Church Farm Care’s Cotgrave home in 2014, was invited as a representative of the Nursing Associate Higher Apprenticeship programme, a new course being piloted by Health Education England. to help bridge the gap between care assistants and registered nurses.
She described her visit to Downing Street as “a surreal experience”.
