E-days set to double its staff

ABSENCE MAKES THE FIRM GROW BIGGER FOR CITY CENTRE-BASED COMPANY

- By MATTHEW BUNN

A NOTTINGHAM absence management firm has moved to a prominent city centre office block as it prepares to double its staff.

E-days, which counts Canon, Lloyds and Sony Music among its client list, has taken up the entire 3,500 sq ft ground floor of Canalside House.

The move caps off a successful year for the firm, which also won two awards at this year’s Nottingham Post Business Awards, in the SME and sales and marketing categories.

Steve Arnold, chief executive of E-days, said: “We’re delighted to have completed our move to Canalside House. As part of our ambitious growth plans we needed to find a space big enough to expand our current workforce of 28 up to around 50 within the coming years.

“We want to make E-days an environment in which people can’t wait to come to work every day, and to do that we needed to find the perfect space, something we feel we have found with Canalsidehouse.

“We’re looking forward to investing further into Nottingham with our continued expansion and also look forward to welcoming the local business community in the coming months as we use our new space and expertise to host HR breakfast seminars.”

The company provides software to firms to help them with holiday planning and staff sickness management, with its features including entitlement calculators and back-to-work processes.

Canalside House, based on four floors in Canal Street, is now fully occupied. The area itself is a major commercial centre, with companies including Browne Jacobson, the Land Registry and HMRC.

Nottingham property firm JLL brokered the deal. Kate Richardson, of JLL, said: “To have completed the final letting of Canalside House and secured full occupancy is great news for our clients following their commitment to speculatively refurbish the building on the back of our strategic marketing advice.”
