Crunch time for student’s new chocolate bar idea
TEENAGER Shannon Beech has turned her love of honeycomb into a new flavour for a Cadbury’s chocolate bar.
The 19-year-old, from Sutton-in-ashfield, beat 120,000 entrants in the 2020 Cadbury Inventor competition to make it to the final three.
All three chocolate bars are now put to the public vote, going head to head to be crowned the nation’s favourite and be the latest addition to join the limited edition Cadbury Dairy Milk range.
Shannon’s Crunchy Honeycomb is up against Coconutty and Out of the Blueberry.
The teenager, who is due to start a journalism course at Nottingham Trent University in September, said: “My love for honeycomb means I definitely am a Crunchie fan but the Cadbury Dairy Milk Crunchy Honeycomb brings something different – a mix of my favourite ingredients including fudge cubes and chopped hazelnuts.
