Two face charges linked to death of city mum
FAMILY BID TO HAVE BENCH DEDICATED TO HER MEMORY
TWO men will appear in court to face charges of perverting the course of justice in connection with the circumstances surrounding the death of a Nottingham mum in Cornwall.
Cecilia Seddon’s body was found at her bedsit in Penare Road, Penzance, at around 9.45pm on April, 19, 2018.
The mum-of-three, formerly of St Ann’s, was 32 years old.
Devon and Cornwall Police have been running an investigation into her death for the past two years.
In the force’s latest update, Blaze Fisher, aged 24, of Redruth, Cornwall, and Clayton Hawkes, aged 52, of Hayle, Cornwall will both face charges of perverting the course of justice.
Hawkes will also face charges of two counts of supplying a controlled Class A drug. They are both due to appear at Truro Magistrates Court on Monday.
Speaking to the Post, Cecilia’s sister Ramona said that a memorial bench would help to honour Cecilia and ensure her story is not forgotten.
A petition has launched on In Your Area to have a memorial bench honouring Cecilia placed in Morrab Gardens - one of her favourite spots in the town.
Cecilia’s father moved to Cornwall in the early 1990s and Ramona followed with her family in 2009. Ramona, now 37, who along with Cecilia attended William Crane comprehensive school in Aspley added: “I think it’s a lovely gesture and will mean she is never forgotten. She may be buried but she is not at rest yet.”
