IT’S switched to Channel 4 and had to incorporate social distancing and Covid measures, so it’s understandable that it’s felt like a slightly slow start to this new series. But now we’ve had a couple of episodes to get used to things and get friendly with the great new gang of contestants, we’re starting to love it like we always have.
For starters, there’s the jeopardy of
watching Daisy May Cooper laughing so hard that it looks like she will either wet herself or go into labour. She is genuinely a thing of joy, and completely infectious – not a word that’s had positive connotations in 2020, but does here.
This week’s episode has the famous five tackling an upside-down challenge, trying to create an effective catapult with their feet and shoving spaghetti into a grapefruit. I mean, when we say it like that, it just sounds weird…
