Awards success a boost for staff

PARENT REVIEWS PLACE TWO NOTTS NURSERIES IN TOP 20

STAFF at Children 1st Day Nurseries are celebratin­g after two of its Nottingham­shire settings have been ranked among the “Top 20 Most Recommende­d” in the East Midlands.

The company as a whole has also been named in the “Top 20 Most Recommende­d” large nursery groups in the UK.

The Top 20 Nursery Awards highlight the most recommende­d day nurseries and nursery groups in each region of the UK and is compiled by leading peer review site Daynurseri­es.co.uk. It is based on the review scores given by parents.

Children 1st @Main Street in Long Eaton and Children 1st @ Toton both received recognitio­n in the Top 20 most recommende­d nurseries in the East Midlands.

Gina Ward, manager of Children 1st @Toton, was thrilled to receive the news of this achievemen­t saying: “Being based on parent reviews makes this very special as they are the people who are so closely associated with the nursery.

“Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit the wonderful reviews. It really means a lot to the staff.”

The manager of Children 1st @Main Street, Jade Brown, was equally delighted: “This award has been a fabulous boost for the staff who have shown such great tenacity and creativity throughout Covid-19.

“Their hard work enabled us to come together during the lockdown to care for the children of key workers and they did a great job. Thanks to our families who helped us achieve a coveted Top 20 award.”

In further award success, Children 1st Day Nurseries has been named as one of the most recommende­d large nursery groups in the UK.

The company has 24 settings, employs over 600 people and supports more than 3,000 families. It is joint first in the UK for Ofsted “Outstandin­g In All Areas” results inthe latest Nursery World Nursery Chains report.

Adrian Mason, managing director of Children 1st said: “It is a wonderful achievemen­t to be recognised as one of the best nursery groups.

“Covid-19 has made 2020 one of our most challengin­g years and I feel this award is testament to the hard work of the staff in enabling us to provide nursery places to frontline staff at the peak of the crisis.”
