CENTER Parcs’ Nottinghamshire holiday village at Sherwood Forest will close as the county enters Tier Three.

The village is set to close at 1pm today, and is not expected to reopen until “at least” November 26.

Visitors with breaks booked will be contacted shortly and offered a £100 discount to reschedule their holiday.

A statement posted on the Center Parcs Facebook page read: “Following the recent announcement relating to Nottinghamshire moving to Tier Three/very High alert level, we have made the decision to close Center Parcs, Sherwood Forest.

“The safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff is our absolute priority and we feel this is the right decision to keep everyone as safe as possible.

“Sherwood Forest will be closed from 1pm Friday, October 30, until at least November 26, 2020.

“All guests impacted by the closure will receive an email shortly with instructions on how to reschedule their break with £100 discount or request a full refund. Please do not call or email us to allow us to help guests with imminent breaks.

“We are pleased to report that all of our other

UK villages remain open. For the latest information on how the Covid Alert system impacts Center Parcs please visit .centerparcs.co.uk.”

The rules around visiting other Center Parcs villages from different tier levels have also been updated:

TIER THREE

You will not be able to visit any of the villages and will need to complete an online form to change the date of your break or cancel for a full refund. If you live in an area subject to Tier Three restrictions and you arrive at one of our villages, you will be refused entry.

TIER TWO

If you live in or are visiting a village in a “high alert” area (currently none of the villages), you can continue with your break but you cannot mix indoors with other households. If you have a lodge booked with multiple households (or intend to socialise with other households indoors), you will need to complete an online form to change the date of your break or cancel.

TIER ONE

The safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff is our absolute priority

Center Parcs

You can continue with your break to Center Parcs villages that are also in a medium alert, currently Elveden Forest, Longleat Forest, Whinfell Forest or Woburn.
