A slice of sheer joy
WITH Harry Hill on top form, often delivering somewhat inappropriate jokes to camera that sail right over the kids’ heads, and a bunch of brilliant, imaginative bakers, this series has been heartwarming and funny.
In this more colourful Bake Off tent, the Hollywood handshake has been replaced with a much less intimidating Liam Charles fistbump.
Liam and fellow judge Ravneet Gill will always find the positive in every bake.

Now 16 bakers have been whittled down to just four, who compete in tonight’s grand final.
It’s a serious business – Harry is even wearing a tie – but these (mostly) unflappable kids still manage to have fun.
“I think you always bake better when you’re not too stressed, so I’m just going to really enjoy it,” says 15-year-old Robbie.
He will battle 14-year-old
Reece, who has notched up a whopping four Star Baker awards, 14-year-old Cece and 10-year-old Naima. They are faced with a tricky Signature challenge filled with words that most adults don’t even understand.
They have to prepare petit entremets (posh little cakes!) and pastries – at the same time, in an afternoon tea theme.
Then they have three hours for the Showstopper, which is to make a tiered cake. The kids’
Reece, Robbie, Cece and Naima themes include a funfetti wonderland and a dream catcher. But whose dream of winning will come true?
