PLAYER RATINGS

-

BRICE SAMBA:

Post came to his rescue right on the stroke of half-time from Adam Armstrong’s effort. Made a brilliant save from the striker’s penalty after bringing down Nyambe. 8/10

CYRUS CHRISTIE:

Had his hands full with Armstrong when the striker drifted out wide in the first half, but had an excellent game overall. Was so close to scoring when his long-range strike hit the post. 8/10

TOBIAS FIGUEIREDO:

Has really come into his own in recent weeks and this was another commanding performance in the heart of the back four. His partnership with Worrall is a formidable one. 7/10

JOE WORRALL:

Another week and another fantastic performance from the centre-back. Reads danger early and his positioning is usually spot on. Dealt well with Sam Gallagher. 8/10

YURI RIBEIRO:

Made some fine penetrating runs in the first half when space opened up before him and defended his side of the pitch well despite having some tricky customers to deal with. 7/10

JAMES GARNER:

Was so close to his first goal in a Forest shirt when his header looped off the crossbar but showed his composure and understanding in his defending responsibilities. 8/10

CAFU:

His job was to protect the back four and he did it admirably. His understanding with James Garner in the holding midfield role looks so natural and balanced. 6/10

ANTHONY KNOCKAERT:

A real livewire and had it not been for Ryan Nyambe, who cleared his shot off the line, he would have had the goal he deserved. So dangerous when he cuts inside. 7/10

FILIP KROVINOVIC:

Worked tirelessly in the number 10 role and took a couple of whacks for the cause. A classy addition to the Reds’ midfield and plays with great energy. 6/10

ALEX MIGHTEN:

Showed deft feet on numerous occasions and was rewarded with a goal, having been quick to latch on to a second ball. 7/10

GLENN MURRAY:

Used his experience to good effect to win free kicks, one of which nearly led to a goal. Was a whisker away from adding a third goal in a Forest shirt. 6/10

SUBSTITUTES

LYLE TAYLOR (FOR MURRAY 58):

The forward could have helped himself to a goal when Christie’s shot hit the post and came back out to him, but couldn’t get the angle right. 6

LUKE FREEMAN (FOR MIGHTEN 68):

The midfielder did not see much of the ball as the visitors enjoyed a lot of possession in the second half. 6

RYAN YATES (FOR CAFU 68):

Great to see the midfielder back in action after his calf injury and slotted in seamlessly having replaced Cafu. 6

TYLER BLACKETT (FOR KNOCKAERT 87):

Came on to help protect Forest’s lead in the later stages. N/A
