PLAYER RATINGS

-

BRICE SAMBA:

Apart from one cross which he appeared to misjudge, it was a steady performance from the keeper who provides a great deal of confidence to his back four. 6/10

CYRUS CHRISTIE:

The right-back showed flashes of what he was about in the second half, but the on-loan Fulham defender could not maintain it consistently. 5/10

TOBIAS FIGUEIREDO:

Got into a pickle with Colin Kazimrichards and should have shown more authority in that position, but the Derby striker took full advantage. Was quality until that point. 6/10

JOE WORRALL:

An outstanding display from the centre-back who was brilliant in both boxes, personified by his towering header for the goal and part of a plan to expose Nathan Byrne’s lack of height. 8/10

YURI RIBEIRO:

Derby worked so hard to close him down that offensively he was kept at bay and he had his hands full on his side of the pitch with Martyn Waghorn and Byrne. 5/10

JAMES GARNER:

Scored the only goal of the game and the on-loan Manchester United midfielder underlined why he has such a big future ahead of him. A different class. 9/10

CAFU:

Was in the thick of the action and Derby complained about him appearing to kick out at Waghorn. Got lucky when he switched off in a Derby attack which led to Kazim firing wide. 7/10

ANTHONY KNOCKAERT:

A real livewire at times and produced an insane piece of skill in the second half when he beat two players with a neat turn. Such a classy player. 8/10

FILIP KROVINOVIC:

Always looking to find pockets of space and his awareness and clever thought makes him such a tricky player to mark. Should have done better with a late header. 7/10

LUKE FREEMAN:

Showed a couple of moments of quality, but all in all, a quiet night for the midfielder. 5/10

GLENN MURRAY:

Clear-cut chances were few and far between for the striker but he almost pounced on a shot that was spilled by Kelle Roos. Was substituted in the second half. 6/10
