£400K MAKEOVER PROVIDES STATE-OF-THE-ART TOOLS USED BY WORLD’S BEST
A NOTTINGHAMSHIRE golf course has had a £400,000 facelift to upgrade its driving range with technology used by the game’s top players.
The revamp at Ramsdale Park Golf Centre in Calverton puts it among the first in the region to install pioneering Trackman Range technology.
Trackman technology is trusted by the world’s top players.
It enables players to practise and receive feedback, tee it up at major venues like St Andrews and challenge friends in innovative game modes.
The technology precisely measures each shot, giving instant feedback on ball speed, carry distance and launch angle.
The information is then either displayed on an in-bay monitor or via a mobile app which records all the data in a player’s profile to review later.
Ramsdale’s new state-of-the-art range boasts 23 bays with touchscreens.
Open daily from 9am until 9pm, it currently operates with temporary Covid safety measures to ensure guests’ peace of mind.
General manager Theresa Plimmer said: “It is extremely exciting for us to be able to offer one of the most advanced driving ranges in the world to people in our region.
“The proven technology is trusted by 86 percent of the world’s top 100 players, including the recent Masters champion Dustin Johnson.
“Our vastly upgraded facilities enable us to offer an extraordinary range experience, no matter a guest’s level of golfing ability.”

Ramsdale Park Golf Centre also features an 18-hole course, an Adventure Golf course plus a cafe bar and grill.
