PLAYER RATINGS

-

SAM SLOCOMBE

Made a terrific save in the first half as he tipped Mason Bloomfield’s shot around the post. That was the only time he was seriously tested. Showed good hands throughout. 9/10

DION KELLY-EVANS

Did brilliantly for the goal with a terrific cross to pick out Rodrigues. Picked up some great positions and dovetailed well with Roberts. 9/10

RICHARD BRINDLEY

Oozed quality in carrying the ball up the pitch from a central defensive position and showed good awareness when Barnet were on the attack. 9/10

CONNELL RAWLINSON

Big and strong in the air and very rarely looked in trouble. Played in the middle of the back three and did all that was asked of him. 9/10

KYLE CAMERON

Like Brindley, was very good coming with the ball out of defence and seems so at home in the way Ian Burchnall wants to play. 9/10

JOEL TAYLOR

Got up and down the left superbly and was a really good outlet. Had he caught his volley better in the opening minutes, he could have scored. 9/10

ED FRANCIS

Did a solid job of screening the back three but caught the eye with some wonderful passes in the second half and looked a real class act. 9/10

MATT PALMER

Plenty of industry and endeavour as Barnet did their best to deny him space and time to operate, realising the quality he possesses. Excellent in the second half. 9/10

CALLUM ROBERTS

The away end fizzed with anticipation whenever he got the ball and with good reason. Got into some great positions but could not apply the finishing touch. 9/10

RUBEN RODRIGUES

So close to a wonderful goal when his 25-yarder looked destined for the top corner until the keeper made a terrific save. Conjured a majestic header and produced a great finish for the second. 9/10

KYLE WOOTTON

Same old story for the striker who was done no favours by the referee despite some questionable challenges. Did a lot of unselfish work and was rewarded with a goal.
