TRIBUTES AFTER TODDLER DIES IN HOLIDAY HORROR
TRIBUTES have poured in for a two-year-old girl who died in a horrific fire on holiday in Ingoldmells.
Little Louisiana-brooke died after a fire broke out at Sealands Caravan Park, in Ingoldmells, on Monday night.
Her mum Natasha Broadley and three of the toddler’s siblings – all under 11 – managed to escape as the holiday went up in flames.
The youngster’s heartbroken grandmother Donna Broadley posted a series of snaps of the youngster on holiday.
In an emotional Facebook post, she said: “Our hearts are broken as ‘wee wee’ was our baby of our family. Tash gave her everything, she was her right leg.
“Our hearts are broken. We as a family will be here for Tash and my grandchildren.”
Community leaders paid tribute to the loss of the Newark toddler.
Councillor Keith Girling, deputy leader of Newark and Sherwood District Council, said: “It’s devastating, and a very tragic incident.
“It must be absolutely incredibly devastating for the family and everybody who [knew her].”
Councillor Paul Peacock, leader of the Labour group on the council, added: “Particularly when they were away for an enjoyable holiday. It’s a total tragedy.” A harrowing picture released by police showed an aerial view of the caravan which was destroyed. A Gofundme page has been launched to help Natasha and her family. Her friend Laurie Selfridge, who started the appeal, said: “Louisianabrooke was the most beautiful, amazing little girl. She was a sweet angel. “Natasha adored all her children but she was like Natasha’s shadow.
“Their worlds have been torn apart in pure tragedy.
“It’s soul destroying. We all love Tasha and her children.
“We’re a tight community in Newark. “It’s totally knocked all of us, but the love being shown is unreal.”
Police remain at the scene with firefighters and forensics and the investigation continues.
They hope to establish how the fire started and determine the cause. Louisiana-brooke’s death is still unexplained.
Leaders from across the wider county also paid their respects.

“It’s especially heartbreaking when young children are involved – and that’s how most people feel. To be honest, that is how I feel.”
Mansfield’s Conservative MP Ben Bradley, leader of Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “I would like to pass my condolences to Louisiana-brooke’s family and friends. It is such an awful and tragic incident and my thoughts are with them at this incredibly sad time.”
Councillor Andrew Tristram, who represents Berry Hill on Mansfield District Council for the Mansfield Independents, added: “Our thoughts are with the families at this really sad time.”
Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Jo Fortune, of Lincolnshire Police, said: “Our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of those involved in this tragic incident and I send our condolences.
“We will do everything we can to establish what has happened.
“I would like to pass on my personal thanks to everyone who helped on the evening and has supported the family, too.
“It was a very serious and frightening time.”
Natasha and the three children have now been released from hospital.
Around 50 people from caravans in the immediate area were asked to leave and go to emergency accommodation created at the Laver Leisure site.
Residents who were asked to leave their caravans have now been able to return.
