NOTTINGHAM restaurant Bistrot Pierre has been recognised for consistently giving diners a “fantastic experience”.

The French restaurant, in Milton Street, has earned positive reviews over the last 12 months to be honoured in the 2021 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards – ranking within the top ten percent of hospitality businesses worldwide.

The Nottingham restaurant is one of 14 in the independent restaurant group that has won this award, out of a total of 19 across the UK.

Diners can currently enjoy a new menu of seasonal favourites such as goat’s cheese salad, salmon nicoise, and strawberry pavlova.

Nick White, CEO of Bistrot Pierre, said: “After the difficult time the whole hospitality industry has experienced, it’s incredibly rewarding for so many of our Bistrot Pierre restaurants to have been recognised in the 2021 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards – including the Nottinghambased restaurant.

“Despite many challenges, we’ve kept the Bistrot family together and we’re very lucky to have such a wonderful team that pride themselves on consistently delivering a fantastic service to our customers and continuously going above and beyond.

“All of us at Bistrot Pierre are very proud of this achievement, especially as these awards are based on reviews from our customers, and I’d like to extend my thanks to all those who work at Bistrot Pierre, plus an extra thank you to our Nottinghambased restaurant.”

The restaurant’s popular menu features traditional French dishes of boeuf bourguignon and Barbary duck and more contemporary takes of Thai chicken salad and cauliflower and chickpea curry.

Breakfasts, afternoon tea and Sunday roasts are also served and during lockdown chefs created “At Home” delivery boxes of favourite foods which are continuing.

In one of the rave reviews, a diner said: “A very good time was had by all – will definitely return and definitely recommend to others.”

Another reviewer was equally enthusiastic, commenting: “We had a fantastic night, three couples, the service was amazing and the food was second to none. Ricardo was great, amazing customer service and made us feel welcome, happy and overall made our experience unique.”

Kanika Soni, chief commercial officer at Tripadvisor, said: “I know the past year has been extremely challenging for tourism businesses.

“What has impressed me is how businesses adapted to these challenges, implementing new cleanliness measures, adding social distancing guidelines, and utilising technology to prioritise guest safety.

“The Travellers’ Choice Awards highlight the places that are consistently excellent – delivering quality experiences time and time again even while navigating changing customer expectations and new ways of working.

“Based on a full year of reviews from customers, this award speaks to the great service and experience you provided guests in the midst of a pandemic.”
