Derbyshire link to whereabouts of Huw Williams?
DETECTIVES searching for missing Huw Williams believe he has links to Derbyshire.
Mr Williams has not been seen for about four months. Police officers searched a Sherwood address for 10 days as part of the inquiry.
The house searched is thought to be his last known address.
No further evidence was found after the search of the Danethorpe Vale home, but neighbours recalled seeing Mr Williams “working on horse boxes”.
Now police in Derbyshire say Mr Williams may have links to the county.
“Huw is believed to have links to the Mackworth area of Derby and the Baslow area,” Derbyshire Constabulary said in a Tweet.
The force shared an appeal by Nottinghamshire Police for anyone with information to contact the Nottinghamshire force.
Notts officers, meanwhile, have followed up more than 25 lines of inquiry generated from a national media appeal.
But earlier this month, Nottinghamshire Police said nothing has led them to Mr Williams.
Detectives said the 25-year-old went missing without his mobile phone, found smashed at his home.
He appears to have no other means of being contacted, and is without obvious funds to support himself.
His devastated relatives have not seen him since Christmas and the last contact they had from him was in early May, around the first bank holiday weekend.
Mr Williams is 6ft 2ins tall, of slim build, with bushy brown hair and a full beard.
He has two tattoos on his arms – one of a fish on his right forearm and one of a black-and-white skull on his left bicep.
He was last seen wearing a chequered shirt, dark blue trousers and trainers with reflective silver stripes. He may also have a green waterproof jacket with him.
Anyone with information is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 70 of May 6.
A 34-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm in connection with the case has since been released on bail.
