Tough schedule takes its toll in a weary defeat for the Magpies

Wood will present a really stiff challenge on their home patch tomorrow.

Wood have surprised everybody by keeping up the pressure on leaders Chesterfield, despite selling their top scorer Kabonga Tshimanga in the summer.

Both managers Luke Garrard and Burchnall play 3-5-2, so it is set up for a fascinating encounter.

What we have learned about Notts so far this season is their record against the sides who are chasing promotion is decent.

They’ve beaten Stockport County and Grimsby Town and held Wrexham, so it does seem that games against the better sides in the division brings the out best in them.
