PLAYER RATINGS

-

SAM SLOCOMBE:

The only time he had to stretch himself was to pick the ball out of the net in the first half and then did the same in the second. Made a a big save to stop Ben House making it three. 6/10

DION KELLY-EVANS:

Showed plenty of endeavour and got into some good positions that weren’t picked up by his teammates. Had his hands full with Vincent Harper. 5/10

RICHARD BRINDLEY:

Got into some advanced positions from his position as centre-back but Notts struggled to open up the Eastleigh defence. 5/10

CONNELL RAWLINSON:

Will be fuming with the nature of the goal in the first half as Tyrone Barnett was not dealt with and was left with a simple header. 5/10

ADAM CHICKSEN:

Nice and tidy in possession and defended his side of the pitch well enough, but it was the attacking side of his game which let Notts down. 5/10

JOEL TAYLOR:

You expect him to be bombing up and down the left flank but Eastleigh had done their homework on him and restricted the space. 5/10

FRANK VINCENT:

Showed one brilliant bit of skill in the first half, but again Notts were too passive in attack in the first half and were dealt with easily. Replaced at the break. 5/10

MATT PALMER:

Never gave the ball away and could see his brain working in a bid to find the gaps that could hurt the Eastleigh defence but it just wasn’t working in the final third. 6/10

CAL ROBERTS:

Close with a blistering long-range strike early on but that was as good as it got for the winger, whose frustrations were evident. 5/10

RUBEN RODRIGUES:

Has been in brilliant form but was well off the pace in the first half as Notts struggled to create chances. Took a nasty blow to the head. 5/10

KYLE WOOTTON:

Had a header that cleared the bar late in the first half, but was not helped by the lack of pace and tempo in Notts’ attacking play. 5/10
