PLAYER RATINGS

-

BRICE SAMBA:

Not troubled too much but still managed to produce a couple of those speciality one-handed catches. Picked up a needless yellow card for timewasting – and was perhaps fortunate not to get another as he complained strongly about it. Rating: 7/10

DJED SPENCE:

Made some terrific runs down the right, just not always with the end product to go with it. On the end of a word from Joe Worrall when he was caught out defensively on one occasion. Rating: 7/10

JOE WORRALL:

Another really good showing from the centre-back. Made an important block in the first half and got in the way of pretty much everything Posh threw his way. Rating: 8/10

SCOTT MCKENNA:

Took the game by the scruff of the neck in a bid to spark something, motoring forward with the ball and then running into the box once he’d passed it. As rock solid as always, at the back. Rating: 8.5/10

JACK COLBACK:

Back in at left-back, and did a job. Played his part in a good clean sheet, even if it wasn’t always plain-sailing for the home side. Rating: 7/10

RYAN YATES:

Not sure he knew a lot about the ball which bounced off him for the second goal but no complaints. Got stuck in during a scrappy opening 45 minutes. Had to battle at times. Rating: 7/10

BRAIAN OJEDA:

A bit of a quieter second appearance, compared to his first. Still, had a couple of attempts at goal and was generally comfortable on the ball. Rating: 6/10

BRENNAN JOHNSON:

Much improved second half after an opening 45 minutes when Forest were flat going forward. Played a lovely cross to force the breakthrough. Rating: 6/10

JAMES GARNER:

In unfamiliar territory as was asked to play the number 10 role. A change which didn’t really work as he struggled to provide the creativity required for it. On hand when it mattered to get the breakthrough, though, then weighed in with an assist. Rating: 7/10

PHILIP ZINCKERNAGEL:

Almost provided the perfect start, with an effort which required a fine save. Was quiet after that, however, especially in the first half when Forest found it tough to get going. Rating: 6/10

LEWIS GRABBAN:

Had to drop deep at times to get involved, particularly in the first half. A few glimpses of goal but couldn’t quite find the right finishing touch. Showed good hold-up play, though. Rating: 6/10

SUBSTITUTES

CAFU (FOR OJEDA, 80MINS): Helped to see out a hard-fought victory. Will have enjoyed getting minutes on the pitch again. Rating: 6/10

LYLE TAYLOR (FOR GRABBAN, 85MINS):

Didn’t really have chance to get involved as the Reds saw the game out. Rating: 6/10
