Fans asked to dig deep for Hope

NOTTINGHAM Forest have again teamed up with local charity hope Nottingham and the Supporters’ Trust to take food bank donations this weekend.

The Reds are encouragin­g fans to donate generously at a collection point to be set up for tomorrow’s City ground clash with hull City.

“Donations can be made by car on the Brian Clough Stand car park between 10.30am and midday. From midday to 2pm, donations can be made on foot,” said the club.

“hope Nottingham support 15 food banks across Nottingham­shire and donations on Saturday will help people who need it this Christmas. Please donate generously.”

The Supporters’ Trust add: “our last collection of food and cash amounted to over 3,000 meals delivered to local people.

“The generosity of Forest fans and the wider people of Nottingham has been remarkable – thank you!”

hope’s van will be at the fan zone behind the Brian Clough Stand, will donations are also being taken by the Trent Navigation on Meadow Lane during opening hours, every day up to and including match day.

Food items requested are: rice pudding/ custard, sponge puddings, tinned potatoes, instant mash, tinned meat, soup, pasta sauce, tinned tomatoes, tinned spaghetti, tinned fruit, tinned veg, tinned fish, cereal, fruit juice/squash, long life milk, jam, instant coffee and biscuits.

Fans are asked not to donate pasta, alcoholic products, fresh/perishable goods and beans.

hope is a Christian charity which helps support those in need. Forest have a longstandi­ng partnershi­p with the organisati­on.
