SIR Elton John and Ed Sheeran are two of the biggest names in pop – but do they have egos to match?

Ladbaby has spoken about working with the music megastars in the latest battle for the Christmas number one.

Appearing on ITV’S Good Morning Britain in matching outfits yesterday, Nottingham’s Ladbaby – aka Mark Hoyle, and wife Roxanne (Ladbaby mum) – revealed just what their twoday schedule was like with the stars. Mark said: “They were both absolutely lovely. “They turned up and were willing to get involved, get dressed up, eat sausage rolls…”

Their latest Christmas number one contender, Sausage Rolls For Everyone, is a charity rework of Sheeran and Sir Elton’s current festive number – Merry Christmas – which ironically is currently top of the official singles chart.

Roxanne said: “Elton John ate his first sausage roll for quite some time … and he ate it quicker than Mark.

“I think we all had a really lovely day.” She added: “We were all very careful [about coronavirus safety measures].

“We split [working] over two days and made sure we took the right precautions and everything but it was an incredible experience and our sons got to meet them as well.”

With profits going to Trussell Trust food banks, the charity rework will make chart history if it reaches the Christmas number one slot.

If it tops the chart, Ladbaby would be the first act ever to scoop four consecutive Christmas number ones, overtaking The Beatles and the Spice Girls.

The Youtubers’ previous Christmas hits included We Built This City, I Love Sausage Rolls and Don’t Stop Me Eatin.’

It is currently the most downloaded track of the week.

Mark added: “It’s just been lovely from start to finish and we’ve been staying in touch for the last few days working out how the downloads are going… so fingers crossed.”
