It’s Priya – she is finding it tough to eat and she needs his help.

He dashes off, leaving Belle with Kyle, only for Ellis and Priya to end up in a heated exchange.

Later, Belle panics when she realises Ellis took her car keys and her phone is out of battery.

Mick, right, feels like things are finally coming together as his plan takes shape, while Nancy enjoys telling Janine to sling her hook.

Later, Nancy starts to open up to Zack and realises she can turn to him for support.

Martin is pleased to tell Sonia he got the job as Walford’s market inspector, and he gives her a ticket for The Albert.

And Phil enjoys spending quality time with Raymond, but it’s not all plain sailing. Meanwhile, Sharon, left, suspects Kat is hiding something.

THE GREAT BRITISH NEW YEAR SEWING BEE BBC1, 9pm

New host Sara Pascoe unwraps another festive special, inviting Steps star Claire Richards, stand-up Rose Matafeo, journalist Kirsty Wark and Drag Race winner Lawrence Chaney, above, to show off their sewing skills.

Kirsty is the obvious favourite – she enjoys embroidery in her spare time – but it’s all to play for. They start with handmade waistcoats from scratch with Christmas embellishm­ents.

Next, it’s an upcycling task as Patrick and Esme ask the celebs to make pretty children’s party outfits from discarded old clothes. Then, as it’s the season of over-indulgence, they’re encouraged to make a party food-inspired fancy dress outfit, perfectly fitted to their models.

ONE NIGHT IN Channel 4, 9pm

Living out every child’s dream, Josh Widdicombe, right, and Alex Brooker spend the evening at the zoo, discoverin­g what the animals get up to when the visitors go home. They’re joined by comedians Desiree Burch, who loves giraffes and Guz Khan, who wanted to be a vet when he was younger.

Josh, who visited London Zoo more than 80 times during lockdown and has a membership card, is like a child at Christmas, but Alex, who has always been cautious of animals, would rather be anywhere else.

The gang have the opportunit­y to snoop around unsupervis­ed, but they have also been given special challenges to complete. First they must lure squirrel monkeys onto scales, before attempting to herd some pygmy goats.
