POLICE are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a man from Nottinghamshire who has not been home for two months.

Lee Bowman, 44, went missing from the Thurcroft area of Rotherham on Sunday, October 31.

South Yorkshire Police said that, despite extensive enquiries, there have been no confirmed sightings of him and officers are concerned he “may have come to harm”.

Lee has links to the Worksop, Ollerton and Newark areas.

He is described as 5’11” tall, of a slim build, with short brown hair and has a number of tattoos.

He was last known to be wearing blue jeans, a grey thick hoody top and white Lacoste trainers.

Detective Sergeant Matt Barnes, of Rotherham CID, said: “Lee is a family man and for him not to have made contact with them for nearly two months is worrying.

“They are concerned for his welfare as are we – and we are urgently appealing to anyone who thinks they may have seen Lee, or who has any information about him or his whereabouts, to get in contact urgently.

“I would like to appeal to people to look at the photos we have of Lee to see if they recognise him.

“Likewise, if you could please check any outbuildings you may have to see if Lee could be present.”

Mr Bowman was said to have been found by South Yorkshire Police earlier this month, but that he did not wish to engage with officers.

Speaking to the Post on December 1, Mr Bowman’s mum Susan Bowman, 68, said all she wants is for him to phone and let her know that he’s OK, and that she is “heartbroken”.

Mrs Bowman said: “I’m missing him loads. There’s not a day that goes by where I don’t have a breakdown – it’s absolutely horrible.

“All I want to know is that he’s still here; I’m heartbroken as all I can visualise is that he’s laying somewhere in the cold.

“If I’m being completely honest, I don’t think he’s alive, I don’t honestly, as he wouldn’t do this to us and his family.”

Also speaking at that time, daughter Corrina Bowman, 21, who now lives just outside Doncaster, said it was “out of character” for him and the family were incredibly worried.

She said: “He was staying with a partner in Thurcroft,. They have been on and off for three years, and she kicked him out.

“Members of the public said he was very drunk and couldn’t walk that night. He was stumbling all over the place – it looked as if he’d been assaulted too as people took pictures of him on that night.

“I get nightmares, panicking about where my dad is, and I’ve been searching myself and handing posters out. The case has been opened and closed three times because of potential sightings, yet he’s still not home.”

Corrina said Lee’s parents, Susan and Michael Bowman, 76, look after Lee and help to shop for him and wash his clothes as he’s reliant on medication and has an alcohol addiction.

Anyone with information is urged to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident 716 of December 7.

ultra-fast, full-fibre broadband network to 25 million UK homes and businesses by 2026.

In the East Midlands, around 275,000 homes and businesses will benefit from the investment.

Our mobile network, EE, has already reached around 40 percent of the UK’S population with 5G, with plans to offer the service in every corner of the UK by 2028.

And on 4G, we’ll expand our network to 2,000 more rural communities by 2025, including over 100 locations in the East Midlands.

This ultrafast connectivity is being expanded on a daily basis. We’re building like fury, and we know there’s more to do.

To make sure this digital future benefits as many people as possible, we published a “manifesto” for the next decade, setting out how we’ll support responsible technology, become more inclusive and do more on climate action, including electrifying our vehicle fleet.

Despite these challenging times, we’re working hard to bring nextgeneration networks and digital services to thousands more across the East Midlands in the coming years.
