PLAYER RATINGS

-

SAM SLOCOMBE:

There was a nervy moment when a pass went astray and it presented King’s Lynn with an attack. Could do nothing about the goal. 6/10

JAYDEN RICHARDSON:

No shortage of effort from the on-loan Nottingham Forest defender as he clocked up the miles on the right-hand side. 6/10

RICHARD BRINDLEY:

Produced one superb challenge in the first half to stop a King’s Lynn counter-attack. Defended solidly against a charged-up Lynn. 7/10

ALEX LACEY:

Had his hands full with Gold Omatayo, whose presence and strength was a concern for the Magpies’ defence in the first half. But he stuck to the task brilliantly. 7/10

ADAM CHICKSEN:

Defended his side of the pitch fairly well and had to retrieve a couple of loose passes from

Callum Roberts. Strong. 7/10

CALLUM ROBERTS:

Was handed the role of playing wing-back but it never looked like one that was comfortable for him. Was moved into attack after the break and scored three crackers. Sensational. 9/10

ED FRANCIS:

Passing was a bit hit and miss as Lynn had plenty of energy in midfield. Took a nasty whack in the first half. Intent was there, accuracy wasn’t. Replaced at the break. 5/10

MATT PALMER:

Surface didn’t do him many favours but he was not the only one to struggle. Had to battle and scrap. Did so excellently for 90 minutes. 7/10

FRANK VINCENT:

Had a chance in the first half saved by the goalkeeper and was denied again in the second by a superb Jones save. Lively. 7/10

KYLE WOOTTON:

One of those nights when he never had a sight of goal but got through plenty of unselfish running up front. 6/10

RUBEN RODRIGUES:

Struggled to get into the game on his return to the team in the first half and his passing, which is unlike him, just wasn’t up to his usual quality. 6/10
