V8 Limited Edition Coupé

NUMBER 4 OF JUST 9 BUILT – AN OUTSTANDING CAR

-

For some, owning an Aston Martin is a rare privilege and when you can say “mine is one of only so many”, it makes it just a little more exclusive. This beautiful V8 Limited Edition Coupé is one of only nine and therefore a true limited edition. It is further enhanced by all of its original books being present, including a copy of Aston Martin The

Compleat Car (correct spelling) and a virtually untouched tool roll. It has an outstanding service history, having been serviced 13 times in 22 years, regardless of the fact that it has only covered approximately 12,000 miles since new – an average of about 550 miles a year.

The care and attention bestowed on this car speaks volumes when viewed. Fastidious ownership meant that it has always been serviced by the same Aston Martin dealer since new, and dry weather running even extended to MOT tests being postponed if rain was forecast!

Immediately recognisable by its specially designed “V” radiator grill – acknowledging its heritage in relation to the Virage, Volante and Vantage – this tiny production run was to be special in other ways from the outset. Burr elm veneers feature, in a break from the traditional burr walnut used on other models, and the original Deep Jewel Green Metallic finish is complemented by its own Tan Connolly hide upholstery. When announced, a maximum speed in excess of 150 mph was quoted, the engine offering 10% more power than the Virage or Volante.

We have recently sold a 1978 V8 for the same asking price as this V8 Limited Edition Coupé, which must surely point to this being an undiscovered gem. When sold, I do not know where we would find its equal,
