The problem with running a classic that has extended periods of inactivity is that there are occasionally a few petty niggles when it reawakens. While there were thankfully few with the Triumph, electrical gremlins included lights not working and an intermittently inoperative overdrive, which I traced to a bad connection on the unit and mended in just a few minutes.
A similar problem in the past was with the horribly inaccessible wire at the top of the gearbox, so I considered that a result. Onwards!

I hav plans for a family day out (ro down, of course) this weeken plus a work jaunt the day bef e. I tend not to use the E30 if t re are crucial timings and big car parks involved, but this on (with Alfa Romeo – see next iss is based at a countr pile in t Chilterns, and I’ve just wo ked out a fabulous backro d route that avoids motor ys and major snarl-ups. It’s g d to have it back.
