SEAN CONNERY: FRENCH FANCY

This wisteria-clad stone villa on the Cap de Nice overlooking the Med was once home to James Bond star Sir Sean Connery. But it’s also famous in its own right having featured in the 007 film Never Say Never Again.

It’s easy to see why the actor and his wife Micheline Roquebrune chose the stunning five-bedroom home, which is now on the market for $33.87 million (£27 million). It’s set on five levels, all connected by a lift that takes you right up to the rooftop terrace. Floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the rooms with sunlight. On the lower level there’s a gym, Turkish bath and spectacular indoor swimming pool offering jaw-dropping views, while the upper floor master suite is just as luxurious. Outside there are two guest houses along with landscaped terraces and a saltwater clifftop pool.

It’s certainly left us feeling shaken and stirred.
