PRINCESS BEATRICE AND HER NEW HUSBAND RELEASE MORE IMAGES FROM THEIR BIG DAY

Newlyweds Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have released three new photos, with family and friends quick to congratulate the pair. The bride’s younger sister Princess Eugenie took to Instagram, writing, “Couldn’t Bea happier (get it)... What a complete joy and privilege to watch you, my beautiful big sister, walk down the aisle to dear Edo. I am so proud of you and I’m so excited to support you in the next chapter of your life. We are going to have so much fun together.”

The girls’ mother Sarah, Duchess of York, also shared her joy. She wrote, “Never has a mother been more proud than at the wedding of Eugenie and Jack, and again with my Beatrice’s loving wedding to Dear Edo. I am so lucky with my girls, and now the best sons-in-law.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge tweeted a message of congratulations, while the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to have phoned Beatrice and Edo before the ceremony.

More details have emerged about the 17 July private event, including that Beatrice, 31, recycled her Valentino diamanté shoes previously worn at Kate and William’s 2011 wedding. Her Norman Hartnell vintage gown mirrored her mother’s own wedding dress with the addition of the puff sleeves. She was also given a silk robe by royal warrant holders Hand & Lock, embroidered with “Mrs MM”.

After The Secret Garden-themed wedding, a reception for 14 friends was held in the grounds of dad Prince Andrew’s home, Royal Lodge. There was a pop-up pub, a bouncy castle and a dart board. Guests danced to music from a jukebox before crashing out in glamping pods.

The palace hasn’t yet confirmed whether Beatrice and Edoardo have jetted off on honeymoon. But the Italian Amalfi Coast is a potential destination after they got engaged there last year.
