Past picture looks like trio of speedway brothers

Lovely, evocative photos in the May edition of Old Bike Mart. Whilst most captions read ‘A O Roger’, one reads ‘Albert’ and another reads ‘Cyril’. I may be jumping to the wrong conclusion but in the last photo of a presentation, A O Roger bears a strong family likeness to the famous Roger brothers, Bert, Cyril and Bob. They all rode speedway for many years, with New Cross, Exeter Falcons and Norwich, among others. Cyril was probably the most successful, with five world finals and many international honours to his credit, but Bert and Bob achieved international status too. Sadly all gone now, Cyril the last to pass in 2015.
