On this exclusive foodie tour, which will take place from 30 August-3 September 2021, you’ll sample the very best of Somerset and Dorset, including seasonal produce from the organic, edible gardens of Yeo Valley, and the acclaimed vineyards of Furleigh Estate, as well as a day to remember with TV chef and food campaigner Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall at his beloved River Cottage.

Meet Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall The popular TV presenter and ethical food campaigner will join you for tea at River Cottage, where he will give a talk and answer any of your questions over afternoon tea. Experience River Cottage Ever since Hugh’s River Cottage graced TV screens some 21 years ago, it has become known as a perfect Dorset idyll. You will spend a full day here enjoying some very special experiences as you delve behind the scenes of this beautiful cottage, including learning to forage, how to cook over a wood fire and how to prepare some of River Cottage’s favourite dishes. You will also enjoy a two-course lunch prepared by the team.
Glorious gardens You will visit the Piet Oudolf-designed gardens at the Hauser & Wirth gallery, which resemble impressionist paintings. Then it’s on to Hestercombe to visit the magnificent gardens that have been restored to Gertrude Jekyll’s original design.
Dinner at Hestercombe Cap off a wonderful visit to Hestercombe with a welcome reception and threecourse farewell dinner with wine in this magnificent Grade I listed house.
Yeo Valley organic gardens If you are looking for inspiration for your own garden, then look no further than the six-and-a-half acres of ornamental and edible plants of this vibrant patchwork of flora.
