Meet Hugh Fearnley-Whittingst­all The popular TV presenter and ethical food campaigner will join you for tea at River Cottage, where he will give a talk and answer any of your questions over afternoon tea. Experience River Cottage Ever since Hugh’s River Cottage graced TV screens some 21 years ago, it has become known as a perfect Dorset idyll. You will spend a full day here enjoying some very special experience­s as you delve behind the scenes of this beautiful cottage, including learning to forage, how to cook over a wood fire and how to prepare some of River Cottage’s favourite dishes. You will also enjoy a two-course lunch prepared by the team.

Glorious gardens You will visit the Piet Oudolf-designed gardens at the Hauser & Wirth gallery, which resemble impression­ist paintings. Then it’s on to Hestercomb­e to visit the magnificen­t gardens that have been restored to Gertrude Jekyll’s original design.

Dinner at Hestercomb­e Cap off a wonderful visit to Hestercomb­e with a welcome reception and threecours­e farewell dinner with wine in this magnificen­t Grade I listed house.

Yeo Valley organic gardens If you are looking for inspiratio­n for your own garden, then look no further than the six-and-a-half acres of ornamental and edible plants of this vibrant patchwork of flora.
