Sargasso, Margate

The owner of east London’s neighbourh­ood restaurant, Brawn, has opened a seaside sister restaurant at Margate’s iconic pier destinatio­n, Harbour Arm. Enjoy lobster spaghetti and Catalan salt cod salad with a quintessen­tial view back over the harbour to the Old Town. Ingredient­s are sourced locally, many grown on musician and restaurant partner Matthew Herbert’s farm 10 miles from the town, with wines from Europe’s boutique vineyards. sargasso.bar

House of JÖRO, Sheffield

Extend a dinner at Luke and Stacey French’s contempora­ry NordicJapa­nese fusion restaurant JÖRO with a stay in one of four new boutique hotel rooms. Sip champagne from the roll-top bath before padding over to the restaurant for unique dishes such as BBQ katsu pork belly. Or book the chef’s table with a group of friends. Koya Ko, London

London’s udon specialist, Koya, is heading east to Broadway Market mid-September. This new casual spot will follow suit from noodle bars found in Japan’s train stations, with a tachigui (standing-while-dining) element alongside seats for customers to slurp bowls of springy udon and tuck into donburi rice bowls. New additions to the menu will include slow-braised beef short rib on hot noodles, and a cold hiyashi udon salad with pickled aubergine. koya.co.uk
