Edwin Lim, md of Airline Inflight Services and part of The Hayward Partnership, is based in Asia where the virus first took hold. He has produced an anti-virus containment checklist.

He recommends all frontline staff are briefed on risks, symptoms and preventive measures; protective gear be issued; service delivery processes are modified to limit exposure in the cabin and encourage personal drink bottles; remove blankets, pillows, table linen, and rotable catering equipment; and cut cold dishes.
