How to ensure that you have your say in referendum
Register to Vote
You can fill in an online registration by visiting www.gov.uk/ register-to-vote or www. westlancs.gov.uk/ registertovote.

If you do not have access to the internet, ask the elections office for a paper registration form.
The closing date to be on the register so you can vote in the EU referendum is Tuesday, June 7. Postal or Proxy Votes
To apply for a postal or proxy vote form call the elections office on 01695 585014, email electionsoffice@ westlancs.gov.uk, download an application form from www.westlancs.gov.uk/ elections or call in to the the council offices, 52 Derby Street, Ormskirk.
Your completed application form for a postal vote must reach the council by 5pm on Wednesday, June 8. Completed application forms for a proxy vote must arrive by 5pm on Wednesday, June 15. Emergency Proxy Votes
Applications to vote by emergency proxy in the referendum applied for on the grounds of physical incapacity – where that physical incapacity occurred after 5pm on Wednesday, June 15 – must reach the electoral registration officer at 52 Derby Street, Ormskirk, West Lancashire, L39 2DF, by 5pm on Thursday, June 23.
Applications to vote by emergency proxy in the referendum for work/service reasons that arise after 5pm on Wednesday, June 15, must also reach the electoral registration officer by 5pm on Thursday, June 23.
