Solicitors firm raise funds for Willowbrook

-

LAST week, some of the finest golfing talent in the area, well inside the walls of Skelmersdale based solicitors, Scott Rees & Co at least, helped to raise £8,700 in total for the Willowbrook hospice in Prescot at a charity tournament at Frodsham Golf Club.

The personal injury specialists were represented on the day by a team of four, including Senior Partner, Daniel Rees and Marketing Partner, David Byrne as they teed off against a selection of businesses from around the region.

Overall the day was a huge success with a sensational amount of money being raised for the Willowbrook Hospice, who offers care and support for adults with life-limiting illness in the St Helens and Knowsley area.

Even the Scott Rees & Co scorecard made for reasonable reading, as despite not coming out on top, they finished with a respectable score of 65 points and Senior Partner Daniel Rees, walked always with an umbrella and matching set of golf balls at the end of the day, won as part of a closest to the pin competition.

The hospice, for whom Scott Rees & Co has been a long time supporter, rely on donations to perform their work and events like this weekend for funding and the amount raised on the day will go a long way to ensuring that they can continue to provide palliative care for those who need it the most and their families.

Speaking after the event, Marketing Partner, David Byrne, was very pleased to hear of the amount raised for Willowbrook.

He said: “The work carried out by the Willowbrook Hospice is so important to so many people and to be done so by such a large network of mostly volunteers, shows the commitment they have to when it comes to giving the very best possible palliative care for those in need.”

“We always enjoy participating in events such as these that help local causes and we are incredibly happy to be a part of an incredible contribution towards the cause today.”

It is not the first time Scott Rees & Co have been involved in charity events such as these and David went on to assure that it would not be the last.
