Roger takes the reins as chairman
ROGER Anderton of RJ Anderton Limited in Ormskirk has been appointed chairman of the Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants Southport branch.
Roger is a member of several voluntary organisations in the Ormskirk area.
He was a founder member of the Ormskirk Clocktower Rotary Club, and is an active trustee of the Lathom Park Trust.
He has also served as the honorary secretary of the Liverpool Agricultural Discussion Society for many years.
Roger takes over from Celine Wood, who led the society during 2015/2016.
He will support the society’s members in the Southport branch area. His primary role will be to oversee the delivery of a range of services for members, including a series of continuing professional development (CPD) courses and annual dinner as well as representing the interests of chartered accountants in the wider business community.
He will be supported in this role by honorary treasurer, Neil Latham of Harrison Latham and the committee of the society.
Roger said: “I am very pleased to take over this role from my colleague, Celine Wood, and look forward to continuing her work in raising the profile of chartered accountants in the Southport and West Lancashire area.”
He will be chairman for the 2016/2017 season
