ORMSKIRK dog owner Gill Woodcock is hoping to scoop a £1,000 holiday this summer – with the help of her labradoodle HoneyB.

The Chuckit! Challenge was launched earlier this year as leading dog toy brand Chuckit! welcomed its fans to play ‘puparazzi’ and send pictures and videos of their ‘Wet Dog Wonders’, ‘Biggest Fails’ and ‘Most Creative Catches’ to be in with a chance of winning the top prize.

Thanks to her keen photography skills, Gill and HoneyB were able to fend off 350 other entrants and be chosen as the ultimate Wet Dog Wonder by a specialist panel of doggy judges, including the editor of Your Dog magazine and Crufts winner Jodie Forbes.

Honey B the miniature labradoodle, along with her brother Bumble, have proved so popular on Instagram that she has become a doggy ambassador for various canine brands in the US.

She currently has over 48,000 followers on the social media site.

The only finalist within the Ormskirk region, HoneyB must win the public vote on Facebook to become the ‘Chuckit! Champion’ and win the prize of a £1,000 dog-friendly holiday, courtesy of Pets Pyjamas.

Gill said: “Me and HoneyB are so excited to have made it into the final three of the Chuckit! Challenge!

“There were so many brilliant entries so we are very proud to have made it this far and really hope everyone in the area supports us to help us win the top prize!”

Local pet shop owner Mike Kirkland from Animal World in Formby, also got behind Gill and HoneyB, showing his support by encouraging his customers and local pet lovers to vote for the pair.

Mike said: “As a loyal Chuckit! stockist it’s really exciting for us to see someone in the local area being given a great opportunity like this.”
