Blues can scale new heights with Eight Peaks challenge
FANCY joining your fellow Blues and taking on the Lake District Eight Peaks Challenge in support of Everton in the Community?
The club’s official charity have joined forces with Charity Challenge to offer you the opportunity to take part in one of the toughest yet most rewarding challenges in the UK that will see you journey through the majestic Lake District as you take on eight peaks in just 24 hours.
Taking place on September 3, the Eight Peaks challenge will see you journey through the majestic Lake District as you tackle some of England’s most rugged and demanding mountains including Scafell Pike and Great End.
The ambitious challenge will cover 14 miles involving extremely varied terrain involving some steep ascents and descents so trekkers must be fit and confident. The challenge is not for the fainthearted but the sense of achievement when you finish is immense.
The registration fee is just £50 with a minimum sponsorship of £275 with monies raised going to Everton in the Community to enable the charity to continue developing groundbreaking programmes to support vulnerable and underprivileged people from across Merseyside. A self-funded option is available.
All participants taking part will receive a fundraising pack, branded t-shirt, fitness and training advice as well as a goody bag. On the day there will be a mountain leader and full back-up support team along with three provided meals and snacks plus a medal upon completion.
