Win tickets to musical fireworks spectacular

THE Ormskirk Advertiser is offering the chance to win a pair of tickets to the Friday night of this year’s British Musical Firework Championships in Southport.

The popular annual event is the only competition of its kind in the UK.

It’s described as “no ordinary firework display”, and will take place at Southport’s Victoria Park between Friday, September 30, and Sunday, October 2.

Over the three nights, spectators will see some of the finest pyrotechnic companies battle it out to be the winner.

The aim of the competition is to synchronise displays to music using a variety of effects, design and choreography.

Last year’s winners, F1 Pyrotechnics from West Sussex, put on a spectacular display and wowed the audience for nearly 20 minutes.

This year, seven teams will be taking part in the competition over the three days.

The running order is as follows: Friday, September 30: Skyburst – The Firework Company Impact Pyrotechnics Saturday, October 1: Phenomenal Fireworks PDC Fireworks Bright Sparks Fireworks Sunday, October 2: Essex Pyrotechnic Lightech Fireworks

COMPETITION We have 10 pairs of tickets for the Friday night displays to give away to our readers.
